Should Ilhan Omar, also known as Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, be allowed in Congress?
Let's review some evidence:
-
She possibly lied about her age. Source: Fox News Why did she lie about her age? If she came to the US as a minor and her dad (see point 4) gets citizenship, she does as well.
-
She possibly changed her name. Source: The National Desk Why did she change her name? See below.
-
She possibly married her brother, Ahmed Omar. This man, suffering from a severe case of Gayface (view photo), needed an easy way to emigrate to the United States and obtain a green card. When asked directly about it by MS Now’s Chris Hayes in an October 21, 2026 interview, Ilhan responds, “Not to my knowledge”. A very strange answer. In 2003 & 2005, he repeatedly photo shared pictures of Ilhan Omars newborn baby girls telling everyone that they were his nieces.
-
Ilhan Omar likes his posts.
-
Once the controversy blew up, he deleted those posts, but people had already saved or took screenshots of it.
-
He then started replying to questions asking if he was related to Omar by denying or saying that he had no idea who she is.
-
After that denial disaster, he deleted his profile, took on a pseudonym & went completely private.

Her father, Nur Omar Mohamed , served for 20 years as a colonel in Siad Barre’s murderous dictatorship in the Somalian National Army. He legally could not have claimed refugee status and came to the United States under false pretenses.
-
Her Jewish third husband, Tim Mynett, owns a winery and a venture capital firm . Their net worth went from $51,000 in 2023 to $30,000,000 in 2024 back down to under $100,000 in 2025 according to financial disclosure forms filled out by Ilhan.

She campaigned out of an infamous Minneapolis restaurant, Safari . Why does this matter? Safari’s co-owner, Saim Salid, was recently indicted in the largest case of fraud in State of Minnesota history. She also received donations from at least two men involved in the scandal. .
Should she be allowed in Congress? All signs point to a resounding no. The lenient option would be deportation.
